Ealing GC Ladies Section has achieved a unique double by qualifying for two National Finals!
First to qualify was Rosemary McNamara and Lindsey Williams who won the regional qualifier at Mid Kent for the Coronation Foursomes and join another 31 pairs to play the Eden Course at St Andrew’s on September 19.
Nationwide 1400 pairs entered the competition and should they win in Scotland a place is assured for both of them to play in the pro am before the Ricoh Women’s Open at Royal Liverpool in 2012.
After a nail biting seventh round in the Daily Mail Foursomes played on home ground Noreen Barnes – Hoggett and Anne Koychev assured their place in the final 16 pairs by winning their match against Burnham Beeches on the 18th hole – 1 up!
Over 3000 clubs participate in this popular foursomes competition and they take up the challenge of the finals at the Marriot Dalmahoy GC in Edinburgh from the 16th October 2011.
