Middlesex won 4½ – 3½ against Essex in a practice match at Grim’s Dyke on Saturday 9th May 2009.
The Second Team had a great win against Essex in a practice match at Grimsdyke on Saturday 9th May. The match comprised 1 round of 8 singles (off scratch) and thanks to a truly team effort we won 4 ½ to 3 ½ . There was an exciting climax with the last two matches going to the 18th and Anne Creasy in the final pairing finished all square with a birdie putt giving us the vital ½ point.
Due to the regional restructuring Middlesex have lost Essex in their group and therefore it is hoped that this will be a regular pre-season fixture in the years to come.
Also our thanks go to Grimsdyke for being such excellent hosts – we were made very welcome!
